SCLMA General Monthly Clinical Meeting – May 2026

This evening will feature presentations from Dr Nick Yim, AMA Queensland President; Nicole Brown, Partner at Cutcher & Neale; and Professor Shuichi Suetani from the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research and Queensland Brain Institute. Topics will include advocacy and policy progress in Queensland, wealth planning strategies, and adult ADHD in primary care.

<strong>Dr Nick Yim</strong> is the President of AMA Queensland and a General Practitioner based in Hervey Bay. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds qualifications in pharmacy and medicine, including BPharm, MBBS and FRACGP. Dr Yim has previously served as AMA Queensland Vice President and Chair of AMA Queensland Council, and has a strong interest in general practice, health advocacy, policy, chronic disease management and preventative health.
Nicole Brown is a Partner at Cutcher & Neale with more than 23 years of experience in accounting and financial services. She is part of the firm’s Specialist Medical Services division and has a strong focus on advising medical professionals with tailored financial guidance. Nicole played a key role in establishing Cutcher & Neale’s Specialist Medical Services team and helps clients gain clarity around wealth creation, superannuation, finance, risk management and long-term financial planning.
Professor Shuichi Suetani is a Queensland-based community psychiatrist and mental health researcher affiliated with the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research and the Queensland Brain Institute. He works as a Senior Psychiatrist with the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health and has completed a PhD exploring the relationship between physical activity and mental disorders. Professor Suetani has published widely in mental health and psychiatry, with research interests including adult ADHD, mental health service models, lifestyle medicine and improving access to care in primary and community health settings.
